With black powder firearms, it is essential that good quality supplies of recent manufacture, be used.
The use of smokeless powder in any firearm designed for black powder only, is extremely dangerous. With cartridge Firearms, always use factory ammunition only, never use ammunition of any caliber other than the one specified on your firearm.
The use of non factory loaded ammunition in any cartridge firearm is extremely dangerous and may result in serious injury to the shooter. We suggest that if you are not already familiar with the procedures for safe operation of this firearm, you should seek an experienced, qualifield instructor to assist you in learning proper loading and shooting procedures. When firing a firearm, always be aware of a possible improper load. If the report is louder or softer than usual when fired or seems to have less or more than normal recoil, do not fire again, as 1) a bullet could be lodged in the barrel, or 2) the firearm may be damaged. We strongly recommend that all of our firearms be unloaded before being carried, transported or stored.
Black powder firearms and single action revolvers should never be carried with a loaded cylinder under the hammer. firearms chambered for modern cartridges should only be used with recently manufactured commercial ammunition in new cases.
It is important that high quality grease intended for use with black powder firearms be used after loading the ball in all black powder revolvers or revolving rifles.
The disassembly of any firearm distributed by us, except as provided for in the owners manual for routine cleaning, is expressly prohibited, and improper reassemble can lead to accidental discharges or serious injury.
